How do I make a scene in TaHoma?

Scenes are used to simplify, automate repetitive events, so that the comfort in the home increases for you. But scenes are also used to simulate presence by opening and closing curtains on time settings or turning your lights on and off, for example when you are not at home. This has a deterrent effect and reduces the risk of burglary.

There are 3 different types of scenes in TaHoma:

- Manual scene

Activated when you actively press a button, wall socket or your TaHoma switch. It is possible that a light goes on when the curtain opens when you press the button.

- Planned scene

This will be activated at a time of your choice. For example, the terrace awning is driven out and the lighting is switched on at 7 a.m.

- Advanced scene

This is a scene that is activated when, for example, a sensor detects something. An example could be a motion sensor that turns on the lights in the middle of the night and raises a blind when it detects movement.

To create a scene in TaHoma, follow these steps:

• Open your Somfy TaHoma app
• Select the menu for "My Scenes"
• Then press "Create your first scene"
• Next, select the type of scene you want to create (manual, scheduled, or advanced)
• Then choose which devices are included in the scene
• Next, define what will happen
• Once done, confirm by clicking on "I have selected all my devices"
• Review the summary that is displayed and if everything is correct, click on "Finish"

If you're struggling to get started, the TaHoma app has suggestions for different scenes you can create for your home. You can easily find these under the menu item "Discover the possibilities" in "My scenes".
